Don Naumann has been working on furniture for over 40 years. In high school, he was awarded the industrial arts award for a stereo he built out of black walnut. Over the years, he has studied under three different masters. He likes restoring old antiques the most, although he can refinish just about anything.
Don is also an award winning photographer. Long ago, he was astounded by the camera. He read every book and magazine he could. He can remember his first photography class in college. Wow. The excitement of attending a weekend field trip and interning under a seasoned professional who owned the knowledge he wanted so badly. When he finally decided what type of photography (art), someone gave him a 500C Hasselblad Camera with 3 lenses. Imagine that. It took him seven years of photographing lightning to get enough show quality photographs to have his first art show. That was 16 years ago. Color film was good to him but now it is time for digital (mostly using a camera with very little computer work!). His first group to come will be black and white; you know 16 shades of gray and all that! Keep checking back for new art to be displayed.
